BodeSIMS Product Packages

BodeSIMS is a fully customizable program designed to track samples from sample receipt to extraction, quantitation and normalization, to STR processing and report generation. BodeSIMS has many built-in features to assist in standardizing processes, and integrating with robots for automation of processing, sample analysis, and management of samples, which lead to enhanced quality control and efficiency of forensic DNA sample processing. BodeSIMS is offered in two packages, BodeSIMS-Core and BodeSIMS-Connect.

BodeSIMS-Core offers the user all the levels of customization that the user requires. BodeSIMS-Core allows the user to define their process equipment and their process specifications. It also imports and exports equipment files for easy use with the system equipment. The user can also send these files to specified locations for convenient upload in the lab.

BodeSIMS-Connect offers all of the flexibility of the BodeSIMS-Core, but allows for the direct interaction with laboratory equipment. This means automatic upload to process equipment to reduce processing time and improve overall laboratory efficiency.

BodeSIMS-Custom Upgrades are available. If your requirement is not by the specifications below, contact Bode and we may be able to incorporate those features.

Extraction
• BodeSIMS Core – manual methods, QIAGEN BioRobot EZ1® and/or Promega Maxwell® 16 extraction workstation(s)
• BodeSIMS Connect– data output file(s) for robotic extraction on most workstations (Hamilton, Biomek, etc.)

Quatnification

• BodeSIMS Core – ABI Quantifiler™/Quantifiler™ Duo Kits, Promega Plexor® HY System

Concentration/Clean up

• BodeSIMS Core – sample selection based on quantification results and target DNA for PCR reaction
