• What is the difference between BodeSIMS-Core and BodeSIMS-Connect?

  BodeSIMS-Core is designed to fully manage the DNA analysis process but with manual interaction with robotic systems.
  BodeSIMS-Connect interacts directly with robotic systems specified by the user’s process.

• Can I add customized requests to BodeSIMS?

  Yes, customization of the system can be done for BodeSIMS. Contact Bode for more details and specific requests

• Can BodeSIMS connect directly with my laboratory robotics?

  Yes, a BodeSIMS-Connect package will need to be purchased. Each BodeSIMS-Connect is customized and will require working with Bode to develop.

• Can BodeSIMS-Connect be added after purchasing BodeSIMS-Core?

  Yes, contact Bode for a quote. The system can be upgraded after the development.

• What is the timeline for delivery of a BodeSIMS?

  The timeline for delivery is 6-8 weeks. Each product requires customization and testing. Bode will work with each agency to be sure that the system being delivered meets the desired specifications.

• What training and customer support does Bode offer?

  Bode will work with each agency to install via remote communications. Similarly, training is done remotely and by the request of the user.
  If an on-site visit is requested, that can be purchased as a part of the Service package.

• How can I upgrade BodeSIMS as new versions are released?

  All product upgrades are included in the 1-year service agreement. Beyond 1-year from installation, a new service package must be purchased to receive upgrades.

• Is there an annual maintenance fee required for BodeSIMS?

  Yes, the annual maintenance fee is 15% of the total value of the BodeSIMS.

• What does the maintenance fee include?

  The maintenance fee includes product upgrades, customer service and technical service.

• Will it be possible to incorporate multiple extraction methods both manual and robotic?

  Yes, the extraction page is based on the samples list. A customized page will be developed based on user specifications and selection preferences.

• Can BodeSIMS handle multiple extraction methods in one project then merge all samples for QPCR set up?

  Yes, this will require a customized system for sample management and extraction.

• Can BodeSIMS generate amp worksheets for different STR systems for samples in a single project, but reunite them for 3100 tray set up? (some samples Y filer, other samples ID, but all run on same CE tray)

  Yes, this can be done based on user specifications. This is a customized request that requires a quote from Bode.

• Can BodeSIMS split my tray into separate amps? For example, can 4 people extract together, but then want to do separate amps?

  Yes, this is part of BodeSIMS-Core. A single amp sheet should be created and the rest can be performed and a re-amp sheets. If another solution is required, contact Bode and we will be able to develop a solution.

• If samples are named to differentiate between references and unknowns, can the samples be split up for amp and 3100 runs?

  Yes, this is possible by the development of a customized worksheet. Contact Bode for details regarding this type of customization.

• Can I add a clean up/concentration worksheet?

  Yes, the client needs to provide sample template of what information needs to be captured and how (tray, column, individual Tubes, etc). Contact Bode for details regarding this type of customization.

• Can we offer the user a choice before generating CE worksheet between 3100, 3130 and 310? For example, would SIMS be able to do a load sheet for the 3100, but then do a reload sheet for the 310?
