Bode has over ten (10) years of experience in providing expert witness testimony and other valuable litigation support, with our scientists testifying in more than 750 cases at the federal, state, and local level, as well as in military cases. Bode scientists are recognized experts in their fields, holding advanced degrees, with the majority of Bode’s casework analysts possessing experience in expert witness testimony. Bode has testified as a result of DNA analysis on forensic casework samples over 100 times in the last five years. Bode will provide depositions and make personnel available for expert witness testimony in any subsequent legal proceedings related to cases for which analysis services were provided. Prior to an appearance in court, Bode’s expert witness services will include the generation of Discovery materials as needed, telephonic/email communications to prepare for depositions or court appearances, and all necessary documentation (i.e. up to date Chain of Custody documents). Bode’s staff works closely with clients to ensure that the DNA results and testimony are clearly understood by the court and jury. In addition, each case is reviewed by another analyst or the Technical Leader, which provides another individual who will be qualified to provide expert witness testimony.
