Overview

Bode’s customized casework section consists of a specialized team of qualified forensic scientists that are dedicated to assess, process, and analyze evidence from all types of cases. This team processes individual casework submissions from clients including, but not limited to law enforcement agencies, prosecutors, defense attorneys, innocence projects, private investigators, hospitals, and private individuals. The team’s extensive experience and dedication to assisting in solving cases provides numerous advantages to our clients such as obtaining DNA profiles from challenging evidence, providing new investigative leads, and ultimately bringing closure to cases.

This casework section specializes in performing DNA analysis for a wide array of sample types including very old samples, samples containing minimal amounts of biological material, and severely compromised samples. Bode’s collection and extraction techniques have been optimized to maximize the amount of DNA obtained from every biological sample. Additionally, Bode’s advances in extracting DNA from highly compromised skeletal samples have enabled mass disaster victim identification efforts. Currently, the technologies utilized by this section include STR, Y-STR, miniSTR, mtDNA, and touch DNA analysis methods.

In order to submit a case for serology and/or DNA Analysis please complete a case submission form and either fax it in prior to the evidence arriving or include it with the evidence shipment.
