Archival System Designed for Buccal DNA Collector

The Bode Archival Trays are specifically designed for long-term storage and archiving of the Buccal DNA Collectors. Each tray has 8 lanes, each for storing 1 collector. The collectors snap in securely. The trays are stackable, each with room on the sides for a barcode, to make archiving and sample tracking easy. The trays are shipped and stored in a box with room for 11 trays (88 collectors). The box takes up less than 0.5 cu. ft. and has ample space for labeling or barcoding. The Bode Archival Trays are a simple and efficient method of sample storage.

How to Store

The Archival Trays can be filled with collectors and stored directly in the box that they come in. The box is custom designed to securely hold the collectors and the ample space on the outside of the box makes labeling easy.

It is recommended that the samples are stored in a cool, dry environment at an ambient temperature.

Chain of Custody Control – When the Buccal DNA Collector is stored directly in the Buccal DNA Archival Trays, the collection paper is never separated from the original handle where the initial sample labeling was done. This helps to ensure chain of custody control of the DNA collection.

Individual Lanes – The individual lanes of the Buccal DNA Archival Tray secure the Bode Buccal DNA Collector so that it will not be lost or torn during long-term storage. The spacing between the trays protects the risk of sample cross-contamination.

Large Surface Area – The large surface area on the side and the top of the Buccal DNA Archival tray make labeling easy. This allows the user to create a manifest that makes the retrival of archived samples easy.

Compact Design – the compact design of the trays allows the user to store them in the box that they ship in. The total size of the box is less than 0.5 cu. ft. and can store up to 88 collectors.
